Description

ACT | The App Association will host a briefing on the outdated U.S. privacy laws that threaten American tech companies operating abroad.

Foreign governments are using uncertainty surrounding the laws that govern U.S. law enforcement data collection abroad to pursue requirements that would restrict American cloud providers from competing in their countries.

Reps. Tom Marino and Suzan DelBene will explain how the LEADS Act meets this challenge.

ACT | The App Association along with IBM, NAM, and Rackspace will explain why passage of this legislation is critical for the tech and manufacturing industry.

Introductory Remarks:

Reps. Tom Marino and Suzan DelBene

Panelists:

Morgan Reed, ACT | The App Association
Michael DiPaula-Coyle | IBM
Brian Raymond, National Association of Manufacturers
Ron Eritano, Rackspace
